内容摘要:The demands and expectations for applied researchers have never been higher. With rapid gains in data resolution and availability, in econometric techniques and computing power, and in the influence of economists in policy and management circles, it is an exciting time to be an applied economist. But there are darker sides as well. Many empirical results cannot be replicated, fueling concerns of sloppy work that favors style over substance, is prone to p-hacking, lacks integrity, and sometimes entail outright fraud. Publishing in top journals has never been harder. In this workshop, we will explore the norms, conventions and ethical codes of conduct that help to define good research in this rapidly changing professional context.
